The New Me is a play about finding the real person behind the socially acceptable mask. Danielle, in the throes of a bad marriage, seeks solace in her mother’s company. She and her well-behaved mother, Madeleine, end up switching roles and the melodrama quickly turns into a farce. Greg, the bad husband, is accused of deviant behavior at work. A private investigator arrives. Danielle eventually reconciles her past with her possible future and gets a little comic revenge on the journey.
