Zona Gale received the 1921 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for Miss Lulu Bett. She was the first woman to do so.

Spinster Lulu Bett is no better than a servant taking care of her sister and her demanding family. When an enticing stranger enters the scene, her world is turned upside down and she’s forced to finally take control of her life.
