Newlyweds Leanne and Ming are trying for a baby. When Ming suffers a catastrophic accident, the couple must navigate his recovery with the help of a no-nonsense physiotherapist and Leanne's mother, who's never approved of Ming.
This is the first in a series of plays in our International Exchange Program with the Tisch Asia School of the Arts in Singapore. Over the past year, Tisch Asia has presented readings of three WorkShop plays:
Lightning From Heaven by Scott C. Sickles
Next Year in Jerusalem by Dana Leslie Goldstein
Someone's Knocking by Rich Orloff
The WorkShop in exchange will present three Masters Thesis Plays from Tisch Asia's Dramatic Writing Program:
Ubin by Su Ching Teh on October 6
Iyom by Lou-Lou Igbokwe on October 13
Wild Blue Yonder by Dean Lundquist (date TBD)
The program is curated by WorkShop alumnus and Tisch Asia's Head of Dramatic Writing William C. Kovaksik (The Barksdale Confession) and adjunct lecturer Drayton Alexander Hiers, in conjunction with WorkShop Artistic Director Scott C. Sickles.
